Dr. Roger Clyde Corrin (’54) passed away March 27, 2025, age 89, at University Hospital, London. He graduated from UWO’s Medical School in 1961 and then completed his residencies in Adult and Child Psychiatry in Toronto. After returning to London, he began working at the Children’s Psychiatric Research Institute (CPRI). In addition to his clinical work at CPRI, Roger served as Chief of Children’s Service and as Acting Director of Treatment, Training, and Research. After retiring, he worked in the Student Counselling Service at the University of Western Ontario. Roger is survived by his wife Rosalind, four children (Dean, Anna, Adam & Justin), his sister, Roberta and four granddaughters. Described as “a kind and loving person who had a great sense of humour”, Roger enjoyed many things: the out-of-doors, travel, landscaping, carpentry, working with stained glass, and was an enthusiastic competitor at table tennis.
Ted J Shack (’63) passed away March 31, 2025, in his 82nd year, at Victoria Hospital, London, after a three year courageous battle with Dementia. At Ted’s request, cremation has taken place and will be followed with a private family scattering of his cremains. Ted is survived by his wife Laurel, two step-children and seven step-grandchildren.
Daniel James Shewchuk (’01) passed away peacefully, age 43, at Victoria Hospital on May 30, 2025. A student of the Academy Program while at South, Dan was known for his sense of humour, creativity, and love of animals, especially cats. Beloved husband and best friend of Michelle Ross. Also survived by his daughter, Makayla, two step-children, his sister, Hayley, and his parents Cecil and Pamela Shewchuk.
