Robert (Bob) Morgan GOODDEN (’67) passed away May 29, 2024, in his 76th year, following a battle with esophageal cancer. Survived by his wife Laura Florence and daughter Jessie Florence. Also survived by his brothers Dave (Elizabeth), Ted ’67 (Cornelia) and Herman ’71 (Kirtley Jarvis, ‘71). With a passion for gardening and landscaping, Bob studied agriculture at Guelph and after a varied career throughout Canada he was groundskeeper for many years at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in London (Bob was an authority on the Carolinian forest region in which London is located).

Dr. J. Kenneth BOCKING, MD (’69) passed away at the age of 74 on 7th June 7, 2024. Predeceased by his wife Dianne (Whitmore, ’69). Survived by their children Andrew (Andrea), Steven (Candace) and Kathryn (Nathan Johnston) and five grandchildren. Also survived by his siblings Barbara ‘64 (John Thompson), Bruce ’65 (Elizabeth), Alan ‘71 (Barb), Don ’75 (Anne), Bob ’76 (Barb) and sister-in-law Lynne (Whitmore) Geddes ‘72. Ken was a Vascular and General Surgeon at St Thomas Elgin General Hospital for almost 30 years and also Chief of the Medical Staff for a number of years at St Thomas Elgin General Hospital. He served on the St Thomas Police Service Board and was active in promoting the prevention of concussions in sports.

Robert (Rob) Edwin BELL (’63) passed away in his 80th year on 15 June, 2024. Survived by his wife Kathie, his children Jennifer Horvat (Paul) and Lesley Bell ’94 (Rob) and stepchild Cam Langford (Chrisy) and their four grandchildren. Also survived by his sister Heather ’72 (Bob Dumaresq) and predeceased by his brother David Bell ’68 (Heather). Rob was Director of Social Services for the County of Elgin for 25+ years.

Beverley (May) BALLANTYNE (’45) passed away in her 98th year on June 21st, 2024. Predeceased by her husband Herb Ballantyne ’42 and survived by her children Jackie Ann ’71 (Peter Campbell) and Peter Ballantyne (Pat). Grandmother to three and great grandmother to four.  Bev was an active member of First-St. Andrews United Church and volunteer for many organizations. She loved her summers at Grand Bend and curling, golf and bridge with friends, but her biggest joy was her family.
