Celebrating South‘s 100th year anniversary!
Hope this email finds you well, despite the many challenges confronting us – on a community level, a national level and an international one too. As writer/editor of Lions’ Pride since 2005, I am delighted to report that the 12-page Fall 2022 issue is finally finished and ready for you to read at your leisure, a distraction from present concerns and hopefully a pleasant trip down memory lane. Connie (Woods) Weir (’66)

A DIFFERENT KIND OF REUNION STORE: This area will offer not only 100th anniversary souvenirs, but also alumni created art, crafts and books. Very few have signed up yet, so if you are interested in reserving a sales table to display and sell your work, please let us know (contact @southalumni.ca).
“100 YEARS OF LIONS’ PRIDE” PROJECT: Work continues on the more than 150 profiles, alumni who have been nominated for recognition by fellow alumni. These profiles will be displayed in the 7 Decade Rooms during Reunion weekend and will be the source for the questions in a planned Trivia Contest.

UPCOMING SCHOOL MUSICAL: South Musical Theatre is presenting “Legally Blonde”!
Based on the 2001 movie Legally Blonde, the musical will take you from the sorority house to the halls of justice with Broadway’s brightest heroine, Elle Woods. The story tackles stereotypes, sexism, snobbery, and scandal and proves kindness and staying true to yourself will always be a winning combination.
Jan. 18th – 21st at 7:30pm in the South auditorium. Tickets ($15) can be purchased online through www.onstagedirect.com. Tickets at the door are $20, cash only. All seats reserved.
